Missouri as enacted a new expungement law that expands the rights of former offenders to have certain offenses expunged from the record. Â In doing so, Missouri has joined a growing list of states that recognize the many sound public policy benefits of expunging some criminal records.
(Sections 488.650, 561.026, and 610.140 RSMo.) A person is allowed to apply for the expungement of certain criminal records after 10 years have elapsed for a specified misdemeanor or 20 years have elapsed for a specified felony since the person has completed his or her imprisonment or any period of probation or parole. These additional requirements must also be met: the person has not been convicted of or been placed on probation for any misdemeanor or felony during that time, has paid any amount of restitution ordered by the court, the circumstances and behavior of the petitioner warrant the expungement, and the expungement is consistent with the public welfare. Im trying to apply for expungement of my criminal record the application online when I tried to print it would not print it was a blank form also when I read the form on line one of the paragraphs stated that I feel I was wrongfully sentenced this is not true I wish to apply for the expungement that was created by senate bill 559 sponsored by Senator Curls please help me find how to obtain this two page application
