Free Pardon Applications

The Law Offices of Higbee and Associates, a leading criminal record clearing law firm, will soon launch a free online service to assist people in applying for pardons in most states and for federal offenses.  The site, which is scheduled to launch in November of 2010, will be fully automated.

“Pardons are a longshot in most states, people should not be paying hundreds of dollars to have an automated system help them obtain their records and print a form,” said attorney Benjamin Yrungaray who helped develop the service.  “We are in the final stages and are excited to see people put it to use.  It is a great project that extends our law firm’s tradition of pro bono work.”

There are several companies who charge people hundreds of dollars for on-line do-it-yourself services or form processor services designed to help people apply for pardons. “Most of those companies are shady with F or D ratings from the Better Business Bureau and reputations for defrauding people. Our forthcoming site will blow away those companies in the three important areas,” says attorney Mathew K. Higbee. “First, it will offer more features. Second, it will be created by licensed attorneys in each state.  Third, and best of all, it will be absolutely free.”

Those who use the service will also receive a free tips from attorneys on how to maximize their chances of success and on how to make sure their records are updated and removed from private and public databases.  For those who wish to hire an attorney after using the service, discounted representation will be available.

The site, which will be hosted at ApplyForPardon.com, will be offering free pardons in California, Florida, Georgia, New York and Texas in November.  Higbee says the site will probably add a state each month.  The site’s services will also be available on RecordClearing.org, as well as more than 40 other confirmed sites that already attract thousands of visitors on a monthly basis.  The goal is to make the service one which any individual or organization can quickly and freely integrate into their web site.  We expect the service to almost immediately have a dramatic impact and reach.

The development of the site and advertising budget to promote it are being donated by private contributions.

Thank you so much for your efforts on this pardon site. It sounds like a great web site, I am waiting patiently on its development.

I’m being stubbornly resisted by Stanislaus County DA for ending PC 290 filed on the misdemeanor plea bargain offered me in 2002. I’ve succeeded in getting PC 1203.4 to end my PC 647.6(a) in 2009 but my end of 7 year filing under PC 290 is being resisted by DA. The DA did not appear in court to resist my release of my PC 290 registration until June 2010. At that court hearing, the DA introduced for the first time, a tape recording from 2002 that my forensic tape firm proved was altered in several ways in 2002 but was never introduced then. Now Judge ignores the illegal tape to rely on their plea bargain in 2002 which failed to show cooroberating evidence to charges only the fake tape could established.

unfortunately, as a dumb young man caught up in a relationship I should have avoided like the plague, I succumbed to the (OJ syndrome) when domestic violence hit the big time, with a over zealous cop and 6 months in the worst county jail system I took a deal that inevitably will haunt me for the rest of my life, irregardless of the wrong I may have committed I was “Hornswaggled” into a deal and years later want to clear it up so that I can acquire a clearance for a trained gov. position and I fear that this will be a major hurdle in accomplishing my goals. Here in Calif. its difficult and wanting to “do right” do’nt mean you can because your past will haunt you! A Vet with regret! N

I live in Mo.and I have a felony conviction I would like to know if I could ask for a pardon or get it expunged.HELP can;t get a job.

    • Mathew Higbee, Esq says:

We currently have a Missouri attorney affiliated with us to answer your question about expungement or criminal record clearing in Missouri. I would call the state bar association in your state and ask for a referral for a criminal defense attorney who can give you a free consultation.

  6. Stella says:

I really wish you had Missouri on your list of states. I’ve applied for a pardon two and a half years ago. I wrote to ask how much longer it would take and to plea my case again and the governors office told me that it takes a minimum of 24 months and that they are still reviewing my application.
I need help…..I can’t get a job or apartment anywhere because of my felony.
