I was arrested a few years ago (2003) for a domestic issue between my ex husband, I am in the health care field and cannot get hired by any employer, I dont know what to do, I am 33 years old, am I never suppose to work again? What can I do?

My understanding is that in N.Y. state, there is no expungement of criminal records!

But U still have rights if U reside in NYC b/c individuals w/ criminal records can not be discriminated against by employers under the city's Human Rights Law. (And i suspect there is a state version.) They can not reject yr job applic just b/c U have a criminal record.  My advice – GOOGLE it.
