In 1975, I stole $120 from a gas station. I was charged with theft by unlawful taking. This was considered a felony since it was more than $100. I was 19 years old, and since then I had moved out of state, became a nurse, and have been a nurse since 1987. Recently, I applied for an admistrative position at another hospital but was turned down. I have been trying to get this case dismissed, but the local judge in Ashland, KY informed me that he would not have the power to dismiss a felony.

Ever since this incident I have tried my best to be a responsible citizen.
