Senate Bill 391, which expands existing expungement law to include many misdemeanors, is schedule to be voted on by the full Senate today.   The bill received unanimous support from the Appropriations Committee in April of 2013.   If passed by the Senate, the bill would move to the State House for consideration.

Senator Solobay Tweeted that the bill should receive a vote today.

Attorney Jenna Thorne says that she believes that the bill will pass with strong support from members of both political parties.  “Expungement laws have been receiving bipartisan support in states all across the country.  I expect that both parties will vote in favor of this well written law.”

Senate Bill 391 was sponsored by Senator Tim Solobay.  Check this site for more information later today.
