Senate Bill 391, which expands existing expungement law to include many misdemeanors, is schedule to be voted on by the full Senate today. Â The bill received unanimous support from the Appropriations Committee in April of 2013. Â If passed by the Senate, the bill would move to the State House for consideration.
Senator Solobay Tweeted that the bill should receive a vote today.
Attorney Jenna Thorne says that she believes that the bill will pass with strong support from members of both political parties. Â “Expungement laws have been receiving bipartisan support in states all across the country. Â I expect that both parties will vote in favor of this well written law.”
