Free Pardon Applications

This is exciting news for those trying to get a record expunged in the state of Pennsylvania. There is a great article on ContinuingJustice.org which goes into more detail. Essentially, senate bill 391 enables people with 2nd or 3rd degree misdemeanors to be eligible for expungement. This is a fantastic new law that will offer a new lease on life for those people looking to expunge their records in Pennsylvania.

Are there any new laws/legislation being introduced in Texas
    regarding Expunging criminal records.

    • Jenna Thorne says:

Hi, while there have been a few proposed changes to the TX expungement law over the past year, none of them saw much progress in the legislature. As soon as we hear any news of any new laws we will post them on this website.

When a disposition of Judgement Set Aside is ordered by the District Court Judge why is this order not honored by the reporting agencies in Texas?

      • Jenna Thorne says:

Hi, for future questions, we recommend you post them in the Forum section of this website. A disposition of set aside should be honored by the reporting agencies, but a set aside does not remove the case from your record. The case would still appear but the disposition should indicate the case was set aside, which means it is no longer considered a conviction and you are relieved of the disabilities resulting from that conviction.

I would like to know if they have passed this type pf bill in california and what do I need to clear my felony which is 6 years old.

    • Jenna Thorne says:

Hi Brenda, California does have an expungement law that allows for the expungement of felonies and sometimes the reduction of a felony to a misdemeanor. You can take the eligibility test here to determine if you are eligible for any relief in California: https://recordgone.amieligible.com/
