We began asking our web site visitors to become a member of RecordClearing.org a little over a month ago in hopes of building some grassroots muscle to add strength to our future lobbying efforts. The response thus far has been amazing. We have already received more than 1,000 members, more than 100 testimonial stories, countless emails of encouragement and offers for financial support.
It is very clear that there is a lot of grassroots support for reform in expungement law.   So, this is just the beginning.  We will be increasing efforts to organize supporters, finalizing sample legislation for a few states, looking for more advisory board members, and planning campaigns to organize grassroots and professional lobbying efforts for passage of legislation at the state and federal levels.
Your feedback is welcome.
More soon…

This is very encouraging, we need to offer ex-offenders a way to truly get back into society. Thank you for your time and effort.
I was not even aware that this was on a public record as I was told by another attorney , when it happened, that it was not recorded. He was wrong and cost me $600.
This record was dismissed, but low and behold, there it was with my most recent background check. It was a mistake, but I felt they had the right to call the cops and for the arrest to be made as I did have property outside the store-it looked really incriminating-but I was assured with my day class in my pocket, I would not have a criminal record.-(Yes, i know, everyone is always innocent )
Wow, that was my first mistake, getting an incompetent attorney my second and not following up on my own before 3 years had gone by my third.
I am glad there is a way to have it expunged easily, after I read on all the steps I thought it was best to have legal advice and an attorney filing for me.It is a reasonable fee, I am able to stretch it out a little and I can be free of this awful mistake- so this is a great service for me.
