Texas

Texas has many remedies for those seeking to clear their criminal past. Arrest record expungements are available if the conviction did not lead to a finding of guilt, and class C misdemeanors if the defendant received deferred adjudication, and completed community supervision. You can honestly say that the occurrence of the arrest never happened, with an expungement order. You are not eligible for expungement if the defendant was found guilty, pled guilty, or pled no contest to any offense other than a class “C” misdemeanor. A non-disclosure arrangement may be available if deferred adjudication was granted.
