I have a job interview for a upper-level management position for a very big company (which will remain nameless because I don't want anyone from the company to find out I posted this).
I've already had a preliminary interview for this position, and the final interview is next week. I feel that I'm a good candidate for the job, but the one thing that I'm nervous about is a background check. This company definitely has a very clean reputation, and all the employees reflect their reputation.
However, I'm sad to say that my past is as not as clean as I'd like it to be. Long story short, I did some stupid stuff when I was younger, and ended up getting arrested and sent to court. It's definitely one of the bigger regrets of my life, but it's never been an issue until now.
Is there any way I can find about possibly clearing up my criminal record? Obviously, my record won't be cleared by next week, but if I say that I'm in the process of getting my record cleared during my interview, I think that will be better then nothing.
