in 1996 my nursing license was suspended and i was wondering if I can get that violation removed. it keeps me from obtaining a second job or any job

I am not sure what you mean by "judgment against my nursing license."   Is it a result of a cirminal record.  If so, it may be eligible to be expunged.  I would suggest taking the free online eligibility test to see if you are eligible.

 I have the same problem.  I my nursing license suspended with stay and was never proven guilty.  My attorney talked me into an Allen plea and lied to me telling me it would come off my record in 3 years if I'm good.  Well it didn't!  Now I can't get a job and co-workers who don't like me printed out my license problem and show it around causing me work problems.  It has totally destroyed my career and I am still innocent!

Can violations (or in my case alleged) against nursing licenses be expunged of the record? Mine happened in 2000 and for the past 10 years it has knocked me out of jobs and when I had a job, twice co-workers tried to use it to get me in trouble.

Sorry to hear about that the longterm affect of your case.  My expertise is criminal records and it sounds like your record is administrative.  I would suggest contacting an attorney who handles licensing issues.  I suggest Attorney Mary Work at http://dredefenselawyer.com/  Her web site is geared towards Dept of Real Estate matters, but she is excellent with nursing issues.
