I have a misdemeanor which is eligible for expungement starting on July 13 of 2011 (This year). I NEED this to be completely removed from my record so that it cannot be found in a background check BEFORE October. So this gives roughly a little over two months to see this completed. I called a local law firm that I heard good things about before in Nashua and they're getting some paperwork prepared for me. Is there anything at all to ensure that my expungement will be completed by October? I read that the timeframe is usually 2-6 months or something? I want to ensure it's done in at least 2. I'm willing to make as many phone calls to any courts, bureau's or offices as necessary to see that it is done. Is there anything my attorney can do to expedite the process as well? When I spoke on the phone she said its at the discretion of the courts. Please help with this? I need this gone before October 1st.
