Frank here-read on your website that getting your record cleared made it easier for someone to get housing. What does that mean? I have a record-nothing serious, and i think i can expunge it.

Im also looking for a new place to live, cuz my lease for my apartment comes up soon. Am i going to have problems finding a new place to live because of my criminal record?

Frank-

It really depends on the landlord and what's on your record. Many landlords can discriminate on the basis of a criminal record, and in fact, some may have a duty to do so.

If your record is "nothing serious," you should be fine. Landlords are primarily concerned with records that would indicate the person would be a threat to neighbors.

If you do experience discrimination based on your record, please let me know and I will research further to see if it was unlawful in that instance.

Hey,thanks for getting back to me. I think what Im gonna do is try to find a new place to live first and if i cant because of my record, Ill get an expungement, i guess.
