Remaining anonymous because i really dont want anyone i know to find out about this. :/ My friends and family think i'm a squeky clean person, but I'm ashamed to say that I'm not. There was a dark period in my life where i did some bad stuff, and got caught and arrested doing that stuff.

 

Now that my life is back on track, I just feel so guilty whenever I spend time with my friends or family, because i've been hiding this from them. An expungement is definitely what Im looking for, and I want to get one asap. Any tips from people who've gotten expungements in Minnesota?

A couple of things…

 

First I cannot really tell you if you are eligible or for what type of expungement.  Minnesota courts have a couple of forms of expungment.  Some forms only expunge the court records, meaning the arresting agency and Minnesota Burreau of Crimina Apprehension can still make the records public.  Other forms of expungement conceal all records.

 

Second, if the main reason is guilty over hiding something, I am not sure how expungement will help assuage the guilt.   If fear of people finding out is the reason, that would make sense.
