I was excited about using recordgone.com, but since my federal conviction occurred in the district of Kansas, it appears that they would not be able to take my case at this time. Currently, I live in Arizona (about 12 years now). I was convicted of what is called "unauthorized possession of access devices" back in 1995 while living in KS. I was given 3 years of probation, and never got into any trouble then or since. Â
I'm particularly interested in being able to legally be in possession of a firearm here in AZ and to avoid any legal issues with that, but I would definitely prefer an expungement as well. I don't care so much about owning a firearm, just that I don't
get in trouble being in possession of one, or being around people
that do (many Arizonan's have firearms). Â
Do I need to hire an expungement attorney in KS? I'm unsure because years ago I contacted a law firm here locally that acted as if they would take up my case, but they never mentioned anything about needing a KS expungement attorney. Due to costs and suspicion over what they could do, I decided not to proceed with that local AZ firm. Â
I'm unsure on how to proceed.
