Dear Alan,

Assuming these 2 cases are in Illinois, you cannot expunge either case. You will need to seek a pardon for the felony attempted armed robbery. Illinois does, however, allow Class 4 possession to be sealed (also expunged in some instances but you can't have another conviction on your record). In your post, you did not state the "class" of possession. 

Please also keep in mind that if you have other arrests on your record, even those dismissed from court, you might want to considering sealing those as well. Potential employers do not want to see someone who has a long list of arrests, even if they did not result in conviction.
