After my incarceration for violation of 11350 of the California Health & Safety Code in the 1950s, i completed my Parole, and then earned first a Certificate of Rehabilitation, and thereafter in the 1970s, a Pardon from then-Governor Ronald Reagan.

My copy of my Pardon has been lost and i have written seeking another copy from Governor Brown and his staff and the Attorney General.  I have requested all the appropriate state offices by email and postal mail and never received any reply whatsoever from any of them.

I need the Pardon and want to seek expungement. Please tell me what to do.

Congratulations on the pardon.  That is a great accomplishment.   God bless Ronald Reagan.

Your posting raisies two isues.

1.  What to do about the lack of response in requesting your pardon.  
My law firm often experiences similar frustration when requesting old copies of records for clients.   My suggestion is forget email.  Stick with certified mail, so you can see you signed for it, or go request the records in person.  This might take some relentless follow-up.  

 

I am curious, does the pardon appear on your CA Department of Justice Report? 

 

2.  What can be done to expunge your record.   
 I am unaware of a pardon creating a righ to an expungement.
