In many cases, the benefit of expungement in California is diminished by the fact that the Department of Justice will still show show the case where the conviction was expunged on a LiveScan. We are hoping that California will update its laws. We will keep you informed of any changes or steps you can take to make positive change in this area of law.

Robert, please take the eligibility test and see if you are eligible for a form of relief... or provide more information about your record, starting with what state it is located. I will do my best to let you know if expungement or record sealing is possible.

Interesting place to post a question about loan modification. I would report the company to the Better Business Bureau, and if they are attorneys, to the state bar. As far as what to do with your loan, there are good loan modification companies (www.firstsourcelaw.com) and free alternatives through HUD... you can also attempt it yourself.

I paid a loan modification company $3000 to help me in April 2009. I was assigned 3 different negotiators that didn't help at all, the first negotiator said that I was given a trial modification for 3 months, but it wasn't. It was a forbearance instead, and now I have a $20,000 balance due to their lies, or incompetence. What can I do? The company is in AZ ,so is the property.

I'm being stubbornly resisted by Stanislaus County DA for ending PC 290 filed on the misdemeanor plea bargain offered me in 2002. I've succeeded in getting PC 1203.4 to end my PC 647.6(a) in 2009 but my end of 7 year filing under PC 290 is being resisted by DA. The DA did not appear in court to resist my release of my PC 290 registration until June 2010. At that court hearing, the DA introduced for the first time, a tape recording from 2002 that my forensic tape firm proved was altered in several ways in 2002 but was never introduced then. Now Judge ignores the illegal tape to rely on their plea bargain in 2002 which failed to show cooroberating evidence to charges only the fake tape could established.

Hi Michael, there is always hope. there are good people out there just waiting for someone like you to extend a hand to those in need. I will suggest to go to a closest church and speak out since your little girls need you.

Best Regards,

M. Saint.

Frankly, you will be lucky if it ever happens. Pardons are very, very rare in California.
