Free Expungement Seminar in New Jersey

The New Jersey Superior Court advisory committee will host a free public seminar on Thursday April 22, 2010 on expungement of criminal records convictions

This will be a great opportunity for those who cannot afford an attorney and are willing to attempt to represent themselves in effort to obtain an expungement in New Jersey.

The session will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at Burlington County Human Services, 795 Woodlane Road, Westampton, in Lecture Room A.

Topics to be discussed include who is eligible for expungement, which type of conviction can and cannot be expunged, how an expungement is filed, time requirements and what happens at an expungement hearing, said court spokeswoman Donna Mazzanti. Forms and detailed instructions will be provided.
